Students are required to be in approved Riordan uniform attire during the school day. The Administration reserves the right to determine whether a student’s appearance meets handbook expectations.
Tops
Students must wear visible, approved Riordan uniform gear at all times. Only items from the school’s authorized uniform list may be worn. Approved options include select Riordan uniform tops, with both Adidas and lower-cost non-Adidas options available, as well as plain white or gray polos. Approved colors are limited to white, gold, gray, and purple (black not permitted).
Bottoms
Approved bottoms include gray, khaki, or white pants; dress shorts/bermuda shorts (knee-length); and the girls' school-approved logo skirt. Pants may not be ripped, patterned, or legging-style. Black pants are not permitted on standard uniform days.
Shoes
Students may wear any closed-toe, closed-back sneaker, casual shoe, or dress shoe. Open-toe or open-back footwear is not permitted, including slippers, sandals, Crocs, or similar footwear.
Formal Dress Days
On designated formal dress days, students may wear black pants or the school-approved logo skirt, together with an approved quarter-zip.
Friday Modified Dress
On Fridays, students may wear officially school-sponsored Riordan gear connected to Athletics, Clubs, House, or other approved school activities. All Friday modified dress must represent recognized Riordan programs or organizations.

Grooming and Physical Appearance
Students must maintain a neat, clean, and school-appropriate appearance at all times. Facial hair is not permitted. Hair must be neat, clean, presentable, must not impede vision, and must be kept out of the face. Students may be required to shave at school and given limited time to change hair; refusal may result in being sent home.
Piercings are limited to basic ear piercings only. Piercings of the nose, lip, eyebrow, mouth, face, hands, or other areas are not permitted, regardless of size, color, or material. Skin-tone, clear, placeholder, or bandage-covered substitutes are also not allowed. Students will be asked to remove prohibited piercings. If a student refuses or is unable to do so, we will send them home.
Enforcement/Elastic Clause
Students who violate the dress code may be assigned detention, may be required to miss class until the violation is corrected, or may be sent home. Any missed class time will be treated as a class cut or suspension. Repeated violations may result in additional disciplinary consequences, including suspension or Administrative Review.
