Dylan Dubriwny '26
When Dylan Dubriwny ’26 first came to Riordan, he was following in the footsteps of his older brother, Jacob ’25. Raised in Pacifica, Dylan already knew the school had an incredible band program because he played trombone and wanted to be part of something special. What he didn’t yet know was just how much this community would help him find his voice.
Quite literally, you can hear Dylan’s voice across campus in our plays, musicals, and choir. His energy and enthusiasm have made him a familiar presence in every corner of Riordan life.
Dylan serves as president of the Drama Club, drum major of the Crusader Band, and a key actor in our award-winning theatre program. You can come see Dylan in action over the next three nights, November 20 to 22, as Harvey Cobb in the fall play They Promised Her the Moon.
Whether he’s directing the band with his mace or commanding the stage under the lights, Dylan has become a confident leader who inspires others to join in.
He credits much of his growth to the people around him. “Everyone can find a place to thrive here,” he says. “I’ve found mine in drama, the band, the choir, and the classroom.” Teachers like band director Mr. Lance Ohnmeiss and theatre director Mr. Greg Callaghan have guided him from a shy freshman into a poised senior.
Dylan dreams of performing on bigger stages one day, but if not, he hopes to emulate the mentors who shaped him at Riordan. His goal is to teach theater and music, helping future students discover the same confidence and joy he’s found here.
It’s stories like Dylan’s that remind us what makes Riordan so special…a place where young people can explore their passions, grow into leaders, and find their voice, both on stage and in life.
