Immersion Program

In solidarity with the poor and marginalized, the Immersion Program at Archbishop Riordan High School is an opportunity that aims to empower students in the areas of social justice, cultural awareness, integrity of creation, and living out the faith.

ARHS offers two immersion experiences to students: the Ad in Ductum and the Marianist Youth Convocation. Information about the details of the program is sent out to students.

AD IN DUCTUM

Faithful to the school’s motto, Mihi Vivere Christus Est (“For me to live is Christ”), Ad in Ductum is a Latin biblical phrase meaning “Into the Deep” (Luke 5:4) is an immersion experience offered to Junior and Senior students. They are invited to participate in the life and mission of Christ in the global Church to go deeper into their spiritual and apostolic journey. That is, to be more involved in different humanitarian activities either local, national, or international, and be Christ’s presence in others. Student-volunteers are immersed in various tasks like building houses especially those affected by natural causes, planting trees, making basketball courts, participating in and learning from the parish-life apostolate, and other meaningful advocacies to change.

MARIANIST YOUTH CONVOCATION

In collaboration with the Counseling Department, the Marianist Youth Convocation is an immersion experience offered to the Campus Ministry Life Team members of schools sponsored or living out the Marianist tradition. Participants spend and share their time, talents, and treasures with students through retreats, workshops, and conferences.

"If children are properly helped and loved, they themselves can become peacemakers, builders of a world of fraternity and solidarity. With their enthusiasm and youthful idealism, young people can become ‘witnesses’ and ‘teachers’ of peace to adults."
