Athletics
The lessons learned on the fields and courts will impact our students for a lifetime.
It has been the long-standing tradition and philosophy of the Archbishop Riordan Athletic Department that participation in athletics is an integral part of the education process. Our program stresses sportsmanship, self-discipline, teamwork, commitment, and self confidence, as well as dealing with success and overcoming adversity. These lessons enrich a student’s academic life while providing a foundation of character and integrity.
Archbishop Riordan High School is a member of the West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL), one of the most competitive leagues in the United States. Many of our student-athletes have gone on to play Division I athletics.

Riordan coaches are first and foremost role models for our young men and women. Secondly, they inspire a life-long love of the game and healthy competition.
