Robotics Team Wins Highest Seeded Rookie Award
Armor Robotics (Team 9143, competing as Team 7678) recently competed at the CalGames competition from October 7-9 at Pittsburg High School. The team ranked 3rd out of 36 teams at the end of the qualification matches and went on to compete in the Semifinals with Team 649 (MSET Fish) and Team 840 (Aragon Robotics)! Armor Robotics also won the Highest Seeded Rookie award for this competition.
We would like to extend our utmost gratitude and appreciation to Team 1678 (Citrus Circuits) for allowing us to borrow and teaching us how to use their robot to compete this fall, as well as to Team 3045 (Gear Gremlins) for their continuous support and mentorship from their students, mentors, and coaches.
To help fund the team, and to allow us to compete in more competitions, Armor Robotics is selling school-approved hoodies that can be purchased through Mr. Torrano. We would also be appreciative of any tool or material donations!
If any parent would like to volunteer and become a mentor for the team, please contact Frank Torrano (ftorrano@riordanhs.org) or robotics@riordanhs.org.
Thank you all, and here’s to a very successful year!
