FRESHMAN YEAR

ACADEMICS

Develop strong study skills

COLLEGES
Explore college options
Visit college campuses during the summer and speak to people about their college experiences.

 

TESTS
The counseling department gives the EXPLORE exam to obtain a predictor of ACT and SAT scores along with a career assessment. The EXPLORE exam will also be associated with the sophomore PLAN exam to give data and student growth.

 

SUMMER
Register for classes at high schools or community colleges to either improve an academic area where there is a deficiency or for enrichment.
College credit may be earned and applied to different universities.
