The Visual and Performing Arts Department offers a variety of opportunities
for students to explore the arts. From music to theatre, from web design to
traditional drawing and painting, we believe that there is a way for everyone
to participate in the arts.
Moreover, our classes offer vital skills to prepare students to lead our media-rich
society. Animated images and catchy tunes surround us; contemporary modes of
arts and communication are not static. Our students are prepared to approach
such sensory experiences with critical eyes. We ask them to engage in analysis
and production with the same service-oriented attitude that permeates all of
Riordan.
Through the arts we are preparing students to adapt and change, serving
