Edward Borges Mr. Borges, born in San Jose, attended public schools in the Central Valley and graduated from Ceres High School in 1965. He attended Modesto Junior College and transferred to the University of California, Berkeley, in the fall of 1967. At Berkeley he majored in history and received his BA in June of 1969. One year later, he received his Standard Life Credential from UCB. Beginning in 1970, Mr. Borges taught a variety of subjects, including Spanish, math, science, and history courses, at St. Elizabeth High School in Oakland. In 1980, Mr. Borges was hired at Riordan High School as a physics and earth science teacher and JV football coach. Mr. Borges has served in variety of positions at ARHS-football and basketball coach, Dean of Students, and Vice-Principal. Currently Mr. Borges is the Chair of the Social Science Department and Dean of Studies. He also teaches two sections of AP U.S. History.
