Science Department The Archbishop Riordan High School science department provides students with the critical thinking skills and the conceptual framework necessary to be an active participant in society. Graduates will recognize the importance of science in matters concerning their personal health, and their responsibility as participants in and members of a larger global community. In addition, the science department provides students with skills and knowledge necessary for matriculation into the postsecondary science classroom. With these objectives in mind, Riordan students are exposed to a wide variety of hands-on laboratory experiments through which they develop skills in experimental design and critical data analysis. Finally, the science department fosters a learning environment that reflects the increasing role of technology in science and our society.
