< RSP Main Page The RSP room is available for quick academic assistance.
-The RSP center is open for special assistance on class work and tests.
-Students are required to sign-up at least one day before their test.
-Students may come to the RSP center to receive assistance on in-class
work
and must provide a note from their subject teacher.
Specialized RSP Classes
The following classes are designed with a modified curriculum for students
with special needs and follows the same curricular objectives as the
general English
classes.
-Introduction to Composition – (Block 2)
This is a specialized English class for freshmen enrolled in RSP.
Accommodations, minimal modifications and study skills are embedded in the curriculum.
-World Literature – (Block 4)
This is a specialized class for sophomores enrolled in RSP.
Accommodations, minimal modifications and study skills are embedded in the curriculum.
-Introduction to Literature – (Block 3)
This is a specialized class for freshmen enrolled in RSP.
-Sophomore meetings – meetings will take place during the 1st half of lunch
every Tuesday throughout the second semester.
JUNIORS AND SENIORS
All Juniors and Seniors will check-in with the Resource Specialist at a specified
date and time. Important Junior or Senior meetings will be scheduled as needed.
LUNCH RESOURCE- Open during the lunch period
The RSP center is open to students who are enrolled in RSP to receive assistance
on homework, complete tests, do independent homework or research educational
items on the computer. Students are required to sign-in, sign-out and specify
the purpose of their visit (i.e. complete a test).

may be required to attend the After School Resource in the RSP room or the Academic
Resource Centers based on their academic performance.
Parents are an integral component in the student’s progress while in the
Resource Specialist Program. They are expected to attend mandatory meetings and
assist the Resource Specialist in keeping their student’s formal assessments
current. Communication between the parents and the RSP is a vital component of
the student’s success. Parents must attend an annual Individual Services
Plan (ISP) meeting with Archbishop Riordan’s RSP to assist in the establishment
of their child’s learning goals.
