Valerie O'Riordan Department Chair: Visual & Performing Arts Valerie O'Riordan, Riordan's first female drama director, joined the faculty in the 2000-01 school year. Subsequent to receiving her B.A. in Theatre/Performance from Cal State Long Beach, she moved to San Francisco in 1981 to attend the American Conservatory Theatre, where she received her M.F.A. She began teaching in 1986, while continuing her work as an actor, director, producer, and freelance theatre publicist. Ms. O'Riordan resides in SF with her husband and two children. She loves her job!
