Herbst Foundation Library

The Herbst Foundation Library provides a quiet atmosphere to research, study, complete assignments, or use of the library computers. Students may come to read a magazine, read a good book, or browse the library collection.

Checkout Policy

Books Books may be checked out for a three-week period. Students are limited to checking out five books at a time. Books may be renewed.
Videotapes and audiotapes These items may be checked out by arrangement with the librarian

  • The Library has an up to date reference collection.
  • The Library has a strong and current social studies collection.
  • The Library has a strong ethnic collection with an emphasis on Filipino culture and history.
  • Our collection is curriculum based. Most of the books are non-fiction works to be used for class assignments.

  • 16 eMac Computers for student use.
  • 1 Laserjet printer
  • 1 Xerox Machine - 15 cents per page.
  • Pen & Pencil Vending Machine - 25 cents each.

Historical Facts about the Library

  • The Herbst Foundation Library was renovated during the summers of 1995 and 1996. The Herbst Foundation Library was a major donor to the library renovation project.
  • Funding was also generated through the 1994, 1995, and 1996 Student Walkathons.
