Academic Philosophy Archbishop Riordan High School serves the needs of our students through our academic program. At the program’s core is a rigorous and challenging curriculum which blends a classical liberal education with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate contemporary times. The Archbishop Riordan curriculum is designed to develop a student’s understanding of the key topics and issues in each academic department. Students are trained to think critically, express themselves clearly, and identify the overlapping themes among the disciplines. The program identifies the essential questions of each field, emphasizing an inquiry-based approach to subjects, and it is designed to hone the elemental academic skills in each student. The program encourages students to take a hands-on, active approach to their own education so that they can apply what they learn to real-life situations. |
