Visual Arts Program :: Involvement

The Art Club is not just for those who can draw, paint, or create sculptures. The Art Club is for anyone who LOVES art, whether you enjoy making it, looking at it, or discussing it.

All levels of artistic ability and/or interest are welcome. We make banners for school masses and prayer services, collaborate with other clubs and student government on signs and posters, draw pastel murals at the front of the school to promote the Fall Play and Spring Musical, and paint window murals, such as the “stained-glass” style painting of Blessed William Chaminade at the front of the school.

In between major collaborative projects, Art Club members spend time creating their own artworks, both for their own development and often for local, regional, and national art contests. This year we plan to do at least as much as last year and more.

The Art Club meets on Mondays at lunch from 12:40-1:15 AND after school from 2:55-3:55 in the Art Studio, Room 122.
