Marty Lynch started with the Riordan Band in "Beginning Band" as a freshman, picking up the trombone and moving through "Intermediate Band"
and then into the Marching Band as a junior as the Assistant Drum Major (2009-2010).

Marty has been a great trombone player in the Wind Ensemble and the Jazz Band. He also plays golf on Riordan's Golf Team.

In Spring 2009, Marty competed in Riordan's first L-pattern competition at Kamehameha High School, along with drum major Benjamin Tan and assistant drum major auditionees Abe Go and Simon Ankirsky. Marty's march selection for his L-pattern was "Washington Grays."

We wish Marty the best of luck in his senior year as the Archbishop Riordan Marching Band drum major!

Congratulations to Abe Go on his Superior Plaque at USA Drum Major Camp 2010 at San Jose State!

Abe Go started at Riordan in the freshman band picking up the flute and moving his way up to "Intermediate Band" while playing in the pit in Riordan's first Winter Indoor Drumline and competed at multiple competitions.

Abe has played on Riordan's golf and JV Basketball teams and is leaning towards reviving his childhood sport of baseball and trying out for Riordan's JV Baseball team.

When Abe auditioned for the role of drum major last year, part of his audition included competing in Riordan's first L-pattern competition appearance in the Hawaiian Invitational held at Kamehameha High School. He performed his L-pattern routine to the theme from "Top Gun."

In Summer 2010, Abe participated in USA Drum Major Camp at San Jose State University and was the first Riordan drum major to be placed in the Advanced Spinning Class. He was the only drum major in the Advanced Spinning Class to receive a Superior score of 90+. He is the third drum major from Riordan to receive the Superior plaque, the previous drum majors were Casiano Payawal (08') and Benjamin Tan (10').

This year, Abe is going to be making appearances at many of NCBA's L-pattern competitions in the winter season.

In addition to being assistant drum major, Abe is also in Riordan's Wind Ensemble and is pushing for a spot on Riordan's snare line for both Fall and Winter seasons.
