Development :: Welcome Friends and Alumni
On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the Development Department of
Archbishop Riordan High School, we would like to thank every member of our
community who has supported our mission. Each year we ask all alumni, parents,
faculty, and friends to support ARHS by making a gift to the Annual Fund. The
monies raised during the Annual Fund drive are used to sustain educational
programs and projects directly benefiting our students. The following are some
highlights of what the Annual Fund and other fundraising activities are being
used for at Riordan:
- Providing $1,000,000 in scholarships to
students, many of who might not otherwise have access to a
college preparatory Catholic education.
- Raising the Archbishop Riordan High School Endowment
Fund to over $3,000,000.
- Our students, friends and alumni have raised and donated
over $250,000 for a new state-of-the-art athletic weight room!.
- The 2010 Purple and Gold Gala Auction raised $80,000 for
tuition assistance
Many of our
donations come through our online service. Please click here to give online.
Archbishop Riordan High School Annual Fund is the most prevalent way that
alumni, parents and friends support the school. Annual Fund gifts are expended
in the same fiscal year in which they are received. The Annual Fund provides
general, unrestricted support for ARHS, to help operate the school.
Regardless of the size of your gift, your participation in the Annual Fund is
very important. Foundations that rank and compare private schools use the
percentage of alumni, Board of Trustees, faculty and staff who give to the
school as one of the criteria factored into their decisions to fund a project,
building or tuition assistance.
When you make a gift or gifts that total $1,200 or more to Archbishop Riordan
High School in one fiscal year, you become a member of the President's Circle.
Corporate matching gifts count towards this total, and contributions to
different areas of the school are aggregated. Depending on your gift
designation, you may also qualify other leadership circles throughout the
school.
In addition, many employers will match gifts made by their employees,
retirees, and directors to ARHS; some even offer more than a one to one match.
We hope that you will consider making a gift that will help us continue to
provide an outstanding education to the young men of Archbishop Riordan High
School.
